Survivor from Poland | Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen

Howard and Nancy Kleinberg were born in Poland in 1926 and 1929 respectively. They survived Auschwitz before being deported to Bergen-Belsen. They were both liberated from Bergen-Belsen where Nancy first met and assisted Howard when he was sick and lying on the ground the day after liberation. He spent six months recovering in hospital. Nancy came to the United States in 1947, and Howard came to Canada where they met the same year. They now live in Toronto. They have visited Israel several times.
