Jack Waksal was born in Poland in 1924. He was in the Jaldns Ghetto until the end of 1940 when he went to the Kruszny and another forced labor camp where he worked on German aircraft. He was in another camp from 1942-1944, and on the march from there to Auschwitz, he ran into the forest and was liberated from there. He came to the United States in 1950 after having married in Europe.
