Vera Goldsmith

Vera Goldsmith was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1934. She was rescued by Raoul Wallenberg and was protected before going into a ghetto for two months. She describes being scared all the time. Her mother died, but some other family members survived. She was liberated in Budapest and came to the United States in 1956 after the Hungarian Revolution. She married her husband Mike in Hungary in 1955. She has visited Israel.
